Automation Marketing Manager – Axios Charlotte

Job Summary:
Tepper Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, MLS’s Charlotte FC and Bank of America Stadium, is seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Automation Manager. This position, which will be part of the Digital Marketing team, will manage and execute the day-to-day operations of email marketing efforts for the Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium.

This role will be responsible for planning, executing and measuring promotional email marketing and SMS messaging campaigns that increase fan engagement and drive incremental sales. The Marketing Automation Manager will need to be constantly innovating, combining best practices and unique ideas for fan engagement with email and SMS content. This role will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking all performance metrics.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can interact effectively with business leaders at all levels, partner in developing the communication strategy feedback loop, and work effectively in managing priorities competitors and aggressive reach. A successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality results and creating exceptional customer experiences.

• Configure and implement on-time delivery of all dedicated marketing automation campaigns
• Create automations and workflows triggered in emails and SMS that will help engage, acquire and retain fans and prospects for the Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium
• Develop an SMS strategy to grow our SMS capabilities to be best in class for a sports and entertainment franchise
• Translate business objectives into specific campaign requirements and plans, including but not limited to: specification of required data, segmentation/targeting logic and dynamic content requirements
• Work with Performance Marketing Manager and Business Analytics team to segment audiences and manage distribution lists to ensure the right content is delivered to the right audience at the right time
• Coordinate content collection for email campaigns across multiple departments
• Facilitate the QA process by reviewing and approving all campaign test files, providing approval for deployment and ensuring flawless execution of all campaigns and test cases
• Monitor and track email marketing campaign metrics and provide reports and insights to stakeholders
• Run measurable A/B and multivariate testing on email campaigns and continuously strive to optimize email campaigns, automations and workflows
• Work closely with Performance Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Director to dream up new email campaigns, automations, strategies and workflows to help increase engagement
• Other tasks assigned as needed

• BA/BS degree in marketing, commerce or communication
• At least 5 years of experience in marketing automation, email marketing and SMS messaging
• A passion and background for customer-centric marketing
• Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other enterprise-level ESP
• Work at the intersection of written content, marketing, and messaging best practices to deliver engaging emails to segmented audiences to drive more revenue and engagement
• Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Full understanding of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong verbal and communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade others with diplomacy and tact; work with many partners at different levels, adapting the style of interaction as needed
• Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all, Charlotte Football Club and possible stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights and holidays
• Must pass pre-employment screens
• Proven experience in managing comprehensive email campaigns from planning to execution
• Supplement practical insights with creating workflow automations to nurture email subscribers through a journey based on their engagement
• Experience with or similar project management software

Working environment:
This work is performed in a professional office environment (primarily an office environment, outdoors in a stadium facility at times, which may include adverse weather conditions) and remotely as assigned by management and in based on current business needs.
