A global financial services company is looking for a passionate, mid-level digital marketer who is a lead generation whiz to join their team. As a key member of the company’s marketing team, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and optimizing digital marketing campaigns (paid and organic) across all digital channels with the clear direction of maximize the company’s lead generation capacity. The target market for lead generation is within the global community. The role calls for a candidate who can also amplify the company’s multi-channel communication strategies. Additionally, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for improving and maintaining the company’s website and creating, coordinating and managing SEO strategies that will drive and monitor targeted traffic to the website.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation
  • Brand/product awareness
  • Comply with digital marketing KPIs
  • Management of SEO campaigns to generate targeted global traffic to the Group’s website
  • Keyword research and adjustment for new campaigns, content, digital advertising and PPC.
  • Work closely with the content developer to advise and identify keywords to use in content marketing.
  • Social media management (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Coordinate, optimize and monitor the performance of paid advertising campaigns (Google AdWords, Facebook)
  • Scan, monitor, track and respond to comments, messages, reviews and testimonials
  • Image research and formulation of social descriptions
  • Integrate content marketing across all digital platforms (e.g. post blogs) and track performance
  • Loading of leads received via social networks
  • Management of paid advertising (PPC; Facebook; LinkedIn)
  • Budget allocations and payments
  • Keyword research and continuous adjustments
  • Create new campaigns, monitor existing campaigns, report insights and make recommendations
  • Continuous improvement based on regular changes that take place within the different channels
  • Test and implement new initiatives and/or features
  • Spot check, lead qualification and lead reporting

  • Daily lead analysis and reports
  • Daily Facebook Pixel Monitor (similar to Google Analytics, but for Facebook)
  • Monthly updates and maintenance of Google My Business
  • Measure the return on investment of marketing efforts based on data from Google Analytics; make suggestions and execute recommendations
  • Website management
  • Regular maintenance (e.g. adding meta descriptions and title tags for pages; posting website images; monitoring and fixing broken site links and links to reputable and relevant websites)
  • Regular website updates as needed (blogs; articles; reviews; testimonials; personnel changes)
  • Advise and consult on a range of briefs and requirements provided through knowledge translation on social media platforms
  • Work closely with the content developer who will create shareable content tailored to specific networks to increase brand awareness
  • Look for new online media opportunities that could benefit the brand
  • Use Google Analytics to measure the ROI of our marketing efforts and suggest areas for improvement
  • Manage the creation of new lead generation digital marketing strategies
  • Identify relevant market trends and information to inform marketing activities
  • Think about creative new growth strategies
  • Compliance: Comply with all company standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Learning and Development: Available and willing to learn existing and new processes that may be added to the company’s product/service suite from time to time.

Terms
The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing – preferred
  • Experience in digital marketing, including social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest), Google Analytics and Google AdWords – recommended
  • Great knowledge of SEO
  • Knowledge and experience in lead generation
  • 5+ years of professional experience executing lead generation, preferably in the financial services industry and in the global marketplace
  • SEO knowledge and proven experience
  • Experience working with WordPress (development and implementation)
  • A love for all things digital (keep abreast of digital developments and best practices)
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written (English and Afrikaans) with excellent grammar and spelling
  • Ability to write in a clear, courteous and professional manner as well as strong email etiquette
  • Proven organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met
