An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mid-level digital designer at a small digital agency in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. We are looking for an ambitious digital designer. You must be a creative thinker with exposure to branding, UX and UI and social media marketing. The agency specializes in website design, digital marketing and social media. There is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of diverse clients and brands, both local and international. Let’s see your portfolio!

Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of UX principles (including wireframes)
  • Good web design skills
  • Work alongside developers to ensure proper implementation and consistency
  • Exposure to animation is a plus
  • Design of content and advertisements on social networks
  • Generate ideas with the team
  • Compile presentations with the team as needed
  • Participation in client briefings
  • Create product graphics, logos, identity design and other similar offline graphics.

Terms
The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Diploma/Diploma in Graphic Design/Visual Communication
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects (advantageous)
  • Ability to interpret client briefs and take ownership of them
  • Good exposure to web design
  • Portfolio showcasing web, digital and social media design
  • Strong conceptual design skills
  • Appreciation of typography and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Fearless – not afraid to present your work and concepts to clients
  • Ultimately, wanting to think strategically.
